Domestic Violence Awareness
Our chapter's mission and our national philanthropy is supporting women who are survivors of domestic violence. It is one of the many qualities of our sisterhood that allows us to come together for an issue affecting every woman across the nation. Our efforts are important given that 1 out of 4 women will experience domestic violence during their lifetime. At the Zeta Phi chapter, we work closely with the Tompkins County Advocacy Center to provide year-long support to victims and bring awareness to the Ithaca community.

At Cornell, we do multiple events throughout the semester to benefit the Tompkins County Advocacy Center. Some events have been Pizza Pie with Alpha Chi, AXO Clothing Drive, Car Wash for the Advocacy Center, Alpha Chi Bonfire, Run a 5k in their Shoes, and many others. The mission of the Tompkins County Advocacy Center is to reduce the trauma that results from domestic violence, sexual assault, and child sexual abuse, and here at Alpha Chi, we seek to honor their mission. We raised more than $5,000 last year, and our donations have continuously grown over the years. We appreciate the impact of our service, and we are thankful to serve the Ithaca community.
